Once you have successfully logged into your account, you can then proceed with the initial setup. Your first step will be to log in using your regular web browser. Once you have done this, you will be prompted to enter your primary electronic equipment device (usually your laptop or other computer). Then you will click the’Router Tab’ which will take you to the configuration panel. Once you have completed this step, you will find that your wireless network has been setup!
Your next step is the process of finding your router default password. It is usually on the very bottom of the page where it says ‘My Account’. You then click the button called ‘Show/Reconfigure Password’ to reveal your new password. You then enter this new password into the box on the left of the page. Finally, you will click on ‘OK’.
Once your router using your broadband service has been set up, you can then log in using your username and password. Your username should be the same as the one you entered during the initial setup. Your password will be something like ‘admin’ or ‘root’. Once you have successfully entered your username and password, you can now proceed with the log in process. Once you are at the homepage, type in the IP address that you typed in during the username and password section.
The router password you enter during the login process will ensure that your router is secure. If you do not enter a secure password, a hacker could break into your system and gain access to all your personal information. You will then find out that someone had been accessing your personal details via your internet connection! Therefore, it is absolutely essential that you keep the router password confidential at all times!
Before you proceed to the router settings, you should set your router username and password. When you have done this, proceed to the login page. At this point, you will see a row of numbers and letters. These numbers and letters are the login numbers for your modem. You can see a ‘#’ in front of it.
There are two different router IP settings page. The first step is to go to the default router IP (uci) settings page. There you will see a column on the left. This column has two different numbers separated by dots. The number one is your Shared IP address and the number two is the Default IP.
The next step is to move on to the Shared IP entry. Once you have completed this step, you will see the IP address which is actually the subject of your shared IP address. You should now have the IP address and the domain name of your desired Wi-Fi network. You can change the password and user name if you wish to complete the set up of your wireless network.
After you have successfully connected to the internet, you will need to know how to connect to your router’s SSID (storage area network) password. You should remember that this step is required to enable the wireless connection of your computer to the internet. Go to ‘My Computer’ and click on ‘Network.’ Click ‘Change’ and then, under the configuration you had earlier created, click ‘MDirectory’.
On the left side there is a field where you will enter the default username and password you set previously. Enter the password in the specified field and then click ‘OK’. You will notice that a window will pop up. This window is used for connecting to your Wi-Fi network using your router’s SSID. Click on the the’reset’ button and then, 30 seconds after the setting, you will notice a message saying that your PC has been reset.
Your PC will now reboot and the changes you made will take effect after you log in again. The changes you had made will be saved in your Internet browser and you will be able to access the Internet normally. If you did not remember your password of your network name, you can use the ‘reset’ option in order to enter your correct settings.
